Capistrano Valley Christian High School – Independent Study Program (ISP)

  • 2021-2022 School Year Status=FULL
    • We typically only have a few spots open each year.

Overview: Capistrano Valley Christian High School welcomes the opportunity to partner with established homeschool families to provide opportunities and options that allow home school students to become engaged in a wide variety of academic and extracurricular offerings within our traditional school environment.

Eligibility for initial application to join CVCS as an ISP Student: Any student/family interested in being a part of the CVCS ISP Program must currently be enrolled in an accredited and NCAA approved online school for all classes outside of CVCS, such as Laurel Springs or Apex Learning.

Exclusions: The CVCS ISP option serves as a first step in the transition to full-time enrollment at CVCS. As such, the program exists for new and incoming students who are currently established in a homeschool education program. It is not available for students who are currently enrolled as a full-time student at any school.  CVCS ISP students are not eligible for financial aid or any additional financial assistance to participate in activities and/or athletics.

Grade Reporting: While enrolled at CVCS, all outside grades earned from your online institution must be reported directly from the school to a CVCS guidance counselor. We will not accept grades from parents or students.

Graduating with a CVCS Diploma: To earn a diploma from Capistrano Valley Christian Schools, a student must be on track and meet all the graduation requirements as per full-time CVCS students. Credits from WASC-accredited institutions may be transferred to the student’s CVCS transcript if approved and accepted by the CVCS Principal and Counseling Department.

Applying: Acceptance into the CVCS ISP program is the same enrollment process as full-time students.
