Marcus Choi

Head of Schools Bio

Mr. Choi joined CVCS in 2023, bringing a decade of administrative experience from Oaks Christian, overseeing 1100 high school students and leading student life, spiritual life, and academic programs. His career before Oaks Christian was marked by significant contributions as a counselor and educator at L.A. Baptist School (now Heritage Christian School), where he taught theology and physics. With over two decades of dedicated service in Christian education and 21 years of pastoral leadership, Mr. Choi responded to God’s call to serve the CVCS community. Motivated by a legacy of 50 years of God’s goodness and blessings, he is committed to leading the school with academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment.  

Mr. Choi holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from UCLA, a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology in New Testament from Talbot School of Theology (Biola University). He also took courses at UCLA on Charter School Administrative Leadership and completed the Aspiring Head of School Fellowship with the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
